St Joseph’s Willunga Catholic Parish is seeking a Pastoral Associate to join the Parish Team. The position is offered as part-time, 27.5 hours per week. 

About the Role: 

The Pastoral Associate will work collaboratively with the Parish Priest and as part of the Parish Team. There is also a close working relationship with the Parish and Parish Schools and the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) as an exofficio member of the PPC. The Pastoral Associate will support volunteer leaders involved in Pastoral and Liturgical Teams. The Pastoral Associate will help to provide a supportive network in order to, together, find ways to nurture the faith of the community and to meet the needs of the Parish, as they arise. These needs will be in keeping with the aims and directions of the Parish 

About You: 

The successful applicant will have; 

• Have a strong commitment to their own faith and spiritual life and a passion for sharing and offering insight which will have a positive impact on families spiritual and faith life. 
• Strong leadership qualities and are able to show initiative, manage conflict and work within a team environment. 
• Experience in motivating others to become involved in Parish programs and activities and in coordinating and supporting volunteers. 
• Experience in providing pastoral care in a Parish, or in another professional caring position such as Chaplaincy, nursing, teaching or counselling. 

Employment with the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide is conditional upon a successful Working with Children Check and successful reference checks.
