Grace and peace, I hope this note finds you well.
I would like to communicate and advise you of the following:
1. Fr Benny Lawrance Martin George SdM; has been appointed as Assistant Priest of the Newton and Tranmere Parishes.
2. Fr Francis Showri Bulipe SMM; has been appointed Assistant Priest of the Adelaide Cathedral Parish.
3. Fr Rajashekhar Gundiga CSC; has been appointed as Assistant Priest of the Hindmarsh-Finson (Sacred Heart) Parish.
4. Fr Sekharbabu Karem; has been appointed Assistant Priest of the Millicent, Mount Gambier and Penola Parishes.
5. Fr Roy Elavumkal SMM; has been appointed Assistant Priest of the Adelaide Cathedral Parish.
6. Deacon Anthony Hill; has been appointed as Deacon to the Modbury-Para Hills Parish whilst continuing his role in Hospital Chaplaincy.
I am delighted to inform you that the Archdiocese will be welcoming another International Priest, Fr Vincent Wijesuriya, who will arrive on Thursday, 19th June 2025.
Fr Vincent belongs to the Diocese of Kandy, Sri Lanka. He is 58 years old and was ordained a Priest on 21st December 1993. He has served as a Parish Priest in several Parishes across Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates. He speaks English, Sinhalese and Tamil.
Fr Vincent has been appointed as Assistant Priest of the Adelaide Cathedral Parish and Chaplain to the Sri Lankan Catholic Community.
I encourage all of us to extend a warm welcome to Fr Vincent making him feel at home in our Community.
